Every parent's dream is an obedient and dutiful child. It's very convenient: both the house is in order and the nerves are relieved.

However, parents risk raising a child who is incapable of making decisions. He will not be able to set goals, achieve them, and all this against the background of the absence of his own opinion.

But at the stage of raising children, parents are concerned about only one thing: the child does not obey.

Experts have explained whether a child should necessarily be obedient.

Of course, an obedient child is very good in terms of upbringing. Here parents can:

  • prohibit and do not explain the reason;
  • do everything for the child and don’t teach him;
  • force and do not seek compromise.

But soon this “quality” will be used by anyone and everyone.

And in the future, an obedient child will turn into an executive one, and will be the same with everyone.

What an obedient child cannot do:

  • make decisions independently, he can only obey and execute;
  • he will believe everyone and everything without analyzing the information;
  • he will not set his own goals, but will be used to achieve other people's goals;
  • he will not be able to defend his point of view and interests;
  • low self-esteem will be hidden behind compliance;
  • he will try to avoid problems and be afraid to oblige others.

Parents should know that a child may not understand what he wants himself. Therefore, the point of view imposed by parents can replace his personal one.

This is why you should not try to get your child to obey you, and especially not praise him for it.
