Hibiscus oil is an excellent lip care product with a natural composition.

To make it yourself, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Dried hibiscus flowers (karkade) are a component that is responsible for moisturizing and nourishing.
  • Vanilla beans – make the product smell nice and also boast antioxidant qualities.
  • Castor oil – saturates with moisture and protects lips.
  • Jojoba oil – penetrates into the deep layers of the skin, making it elastic.
  • Almond oil – nourishes and softens lips.

So, two tablespoons of dried hibiscus flowers, castor oil, jojoba oil and almond oil together with vanilla beans should be placed in a suitable container.

Place the mixture in a water bath (low heat). Important: do not boil it, as boiling destroys the beneficial properties of the oils.

When the mixture has cooled (slightly), strain it using cheesecloth to "sift out" any excess flowers and beans.

Well, that’s all – all that’s left is to pour the lip oil into a clean bottle made of dark glass.

It should be stored in a cool place and used whenever you feel that your lips need moisture and protection from dryness.

In addition, the oil gives a pleasant natural shine.
