The question of how much coffee is safe to drink per day worries many lovers of this drink.
The answer to this question was found by nutritionist Antonina Starodubova.
According to the specialist, there are no strict restrictions regarding the amount of coffee you drink, but drinking too much of the drink is not recommended.
Some experts, however, insist on the need to limit the amount of caffeine entering the body.
To calculate the permitted volume of drink, they advise using your own weight as a guide.
The formula is simple: it is allowed to consume no more than 3 mg of caffeine per 1 kg of body weight.
For example, if a person weighs 70 kg, then he can afford to drink no more than 210 mg of caffeine per day.
This is approximately equal to 5-6 cups of black tea or 3 small espressos.
People who have been diagnosed with cardiovascular diseases or have problems with the gastrointestinal tract should be especially careful with coffee.
