A heavy stomach can be a result of overeating – it can happen to anyone.
But sometimes the heaviness can be a consequence of a dangerous symptom.
If the heaviness goes away within half an hour, then most likely the stomach is functioning normally.
It should be noted that overeating may not be the only reason for the appearance of heaviness.
What symptoms may indicate more serious problems
If, in addition to heaviness, you experience heartburn, belching, bloating, mild nausea, bad breath, lethargy, and abdominal pain, it is best to see a doctor.
If this feeling of heaviness lasts for several hours, then this is a clear sign that you need to see a doctor.
If it becomes difficult to swallow or breathe, there is vomiting of blood, the temperature rises and there are painful sensations, and there is blood in the stool, then you need to see a doctor immediately.
