If a person wants his body to function normally, it is not enough to remember only about a healthy lifestyle or proper nutrition. It is also necessary to constantly replenish the water balance.

The fact is that water deficiency leads to thickening of the blood, and this is fraught with thrombosis and other serious problems.

For example, a person may begin to complain of a decline in cognitive abilities and vision, the occurrence of drowsiness and headaches.

In addition, excess weight may appear. This is due to the fact that people can often confuse thirst with hunger.

There is also a risk of swelling.

Therapist Elena Tikhomirova spoke about this, reports Gazeta.Ru .

As the doctor explained, the water norm should be calculated individually. Everything depends on the level of physical activity and body weight.

The average norm for women is 2 liters, and for men – about 3 liters of water should be drunk per day.
