5 Tips for Keeping Your Bed Linens Clean: Your Health Depends on It

While some people calmly sit down on the bed in street clothes, others are incredibly irritated by this habit.

Allegedly, such behavior, firstly, speaks of a lack of upbringing, and secondly, is unhygienic and fraught with infections.

And indeed, a wide variety of bacteria can live on clothing – both on street clothes and (surprise!) on home clothes.

Fortunately, most microorganisms living on fabric do not pose a danger to humans, so in most cases you can safely sit on the bed without changing your clothes after being outside.

There are other ways to maintain the hygiene of your sleeping area.

1. Take a shower before going to bed, and if you don’t have time to wash your entire body, at least wash the dirtiest parts of your body.

2. Don't go to bed with wet hair - this will keep your pillow warm and damp for a long time, which means it will become a good breeding ground for germs.

3. If you apply cream to your skin before going to bed, wait until it is absorbed – do not rush under the covers immediately so as not to stain your underwear.

4. Change your bed linen once a week. The frequency of changing bed linen increases almost twofold if you sleep with animals or children.

5. And, of course, don’t eat in bed – crumbs on the sheets will definitely prevent you from getting a good night’s sleep.
