How do you store cheese? Do you leave the product in the film it was sold in?
Know that you are making a grave mistake.
You can still store the cheese in film before unpacking.
But after removing the polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride shell, the product cannot be wrapped in this material.
Throw away the film and pack the cheese in something else.
Into what exactly? You will find the answer to this question in the second half of the article.
Cut film cannot be reused.
When stored in such material, the product will not “breathe” and will very quickly lose its bright taste.
Repack the cheese: wrap it in parchment paper.
The material allows air to pass through normally, so the product “breathes”.
It is worth noting that parchment provides the product with protection from both mold and drying out.
Thus, parchment paper is an ideal material for wrapping cheese.
However, you need to make sure that the product is closed on all sides. Otherwise, the effect of using parchment will be negated.
Important point: the material must be replaced after each piece of cheese is cut off.
