Salt is a simple and affordable remedy that can help restore softness to terry towels. Salt has the following properties.
• Dissolves residues from fabric softeners that stick towel fibers together.
• Moisturizes and softens the fibers, making them more elastic and fluffier.
• Disinfects and refreshes the towel, killing bacteria and fungi, and neutralizing unpleasant odors.
To make terry towels soft using salt, you will need the following ingredients and supplies.
• Salt (preferably sea or Himalayan, as they contain more minerals and microelements).
• Water (preferably warm or hot, as it dissolves the salt better and penetrates the fibers).
• Bucket, basin or sink (depending on the size and number of towels).

The process of restoring the softness of terry towels with salt consists of the following steps.
