Almost all housewives store greens in the refrigerator incorrectly: why dill and parsley quickly lose freshness

Many housewives put fresh herbs in a plastic bag and leave it in the bottom drawer of the refrigerator - along with vegetables and fruits.

However, this method of storage is incorrect.

When choosing this option, you should be prepared for the fact that dill or parsley will quickly wither, turn yellow and lose their bright taste due to a lack of moisture.

Greens will spoil even faster if stored outside the refrigerator.

What should the hostess do?

Dill and parsley should still be kept in the refrigerator. But not in the so-called "freshness zone".

Plants should be placed on one of the shelves.

And not in a bag, but in... a jar or a glass. You need to pour water into a glass container and put a bunch of greens.

In other words, dill or parsley should be placed in the same way as flowers - with the stems down.

The jar with greens should be covered with cling film. In this form, the spices will be stored for a very long time.

Even after many days, everything will remain fresh and tasty. And all thanks to the fact that the plant will not be deprived of access to sufficient moisture.
