The washing machine never drains all the water from the tank without leaving any residue, and therefore excess moisture leads to the formation of mold and unpleasant odor.
The longer the machine is idle, the more likely it is that mold will appear inside. Especially if the machine is standing with the door and powder tray closed.
You should not wash in such conditions without pre-cleaning. At the very least, an unpleasant smell may appear on the items after washing, especially if you do not take them out of the drum immediately.
In this case, ordinary table salt, which is used for cleaning, comes to the rescue. Due to its composition, salt eliminates unpleasant odors, softens water and helps prevent the formation of limescale and scale.
To clean, just take 1 cup of table salt and pour it into the washing machine drum. You don't need to load any laundry.
Then select a cycle with a temperature of 90 degrees Celsius.
After cleaning, do not forget to clean the rubber seal of the loading compartment and wipe it dry.
