It is believed that house slippers are almost disposable items and washing them in a washing machine is the same as throwing them straight into the trash.
In fact, with proper care, house shoes will last longer and will not become a breeding ground for pathogenic microorganisms.
Today, there are three known ways to care for slippers: hand washing, machine washing, and a method that allows you to refresh your shoes.
This is the most gentle of the existing washing methods. Wash in warm water, to which you need to add 1 tbsp. soda, 2 tbsp. detergent, the same amount of hydrogen peroxide. Soak the slippers for 20 minutes, then proceed to washing.
You can use baby soap or laundry soap.
This is only possible if the slippers do not have decorative embroidery, decorations, etc. Even in this case, place the house shoes in a special laundry bag, use gel, not powder. Then turn on the "delicate" wash mode at a temperature of 30 degrees.
Not suitable for leather goods and fur-trimmed footwear.
If washing is not possible, try to remove the smell by slightly wetting the inside of the slippers and then stuffing them with old newspapers. Leave for 2-3 hours and then dry the shoes.
You can simply sprinkle baking soda into your slippers and after half an hour brush and vacuum them.
