The Guinness Book of Records mentions not only serious, but also rather funny achievements.
For example, the reference book contains information about the creation of the world's largest ballpoint pen.
The unusual stationery item was presented in the spring of 2011. That was also when the record was set.
The creator of the huge writing instrument was an Indian resident, Acharya Makunuri Srinivasa.
The "presentation" of the pen took place on April 24, 2011 in Hyderabad, a large city in the central part of the Hindustan Peninsula.
Four people lifted the large pen with difficulty. The men even managed to create a drawing with this stationery - a smiling "face".
The measurements showed that the pen is 5.5 meters long and weighs 37.23 kilograms. Given these figures, the compilers of the Guinness Book of Records recognized the thing as the "largest ballpoint pen in the world."
It is worth noting that the huge writing instrument looks very beautiful: scenes from Indian mythology are engraved on it.
