Biography of Lyubov Sokolova

The future actress was born in the summer of 1921.

In 1939, she entered the Leningrad Pedagogical Institute, but a year later she decided to go to study at a film acting workshop.

Sokolova's film debut took place in 1941: the actress played a cameo role in the film "Masquerade".

During the Great Patriotic War, Sokolova became a student at VGIK. Lyubov Sergeevna received her diploma from this university in 1946.

In the following decades, Sokolova was a highly sought-after actress.

She played in several hundred films. Thanks to this achievement, the celebrity got into the Guinness Book of Records.

Millions of viewers remember Sokolova for her roles as mothers of characters in the following cult films: "Seryozha", "I Walk Through Moscow", "The Story of Asya Klyachina, Who Loved but Didn't Marry", "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!"

Lyubov Sergeevna died in the summer of 2001. She was 79 years old.
