The fattest man in the world was recognized as Juan Pedro Franco, who lives in Mexico. The record was registered in 2016, when he was on the verge of death.

The man lived in Mexico and weighed 595 kg. And no less significant can be called another of his achievements - he pulled himself together and began to lose weight.

The hardest record

He began to gain weight as a child and at the age of 6 he reached 63 kg.

At 17, he already weighed 228 kg and since then the bar has been constantly rising.

The record was set at the age of 32. At that time, he weighed 595 kg, and had not gotten out of bed for the last 7 years.

His health was deteriorating. The list of diagnoses included type 2 diabetes, hypertension, thyroid dysfunction and other troubles.

Doctors performed surgery on him and prescribed a three-month diet.

As a result, by 2020, the Mexican had lost no less than a record 330 kg.

After 10 years spent in bed, he was able to move independently for the first time.

Juan Pedro Franco is not giving up and is planning a new operation to remove excess skin, which will help him lose another 80 kg.
