Lately, has your four-legged friend been rubbing his face against the carpet, sofa and armchairs?

There is nothing good about this!

Apparently, the pet is experiencing discomfort for some reason.

The animal may need serious help.

Why does a dog rub its muzzle against the carpet and furniture?

It is possible that such strange behavior is explained by allergies.

The dog may have reacted to pollen or eaten "something wrong." Rubbing its muzzle against various surfaces in this case is an attempt to cope with the itch.

The latter, by the way, can also appear due to parasites.

Or it may be that your pet has developed skin problems.

Therefore, if your dog has been rubbing his muzzle too often against certain surfaces lately, this is a clear reason to take your four-legged friend to the veterinary clinic.

However, it is possible that no illnesses will be found. But then we will have to find out why the dog is behaving strangely.

Perhaps the unusual behavior of the animal is explained by the fact that the owner puts the collar on the dog incorrectly. It is possible that the device is too tight and irritates the skin.

Or it could be that the problem is dirt or “stuck” pieces of food: the dog is trying to clean its muzzle by rubbing against the carpet.

There may be some small foreign objects on the muzzle or in the mouth: be sure to remove them.
