Let's imagine a situation: you were bitten by your four-legged friend.
How to behave in this case? First, do not panic. Perhaps the bite was an accident or part of a game.
Secondly, do not hit the dog. Physical punishment will only make the situation worse.
What measures need to be taken?
Remember a simple but very important rule: the animal’s behavior must be corrected taking into account the reason for the bite.
This is what a puppy might do if it is not yet able to fully control its behavior.
At a "childish" age, a dog may already have a hunting or protective instinct. However, the skills of "communication" with people are not fully developed.
What to do if you are bitten by a playing pet? It's simple: you must immediately stop playing, clearly and loudly saying: "No!"
After some time, you can return to the game. But try to closely monitor the puppy's behavior.
If your dog starts biting you because of stress, then also tell your pet: “No!”
But try not to make the command too loud. Shouting is not necessary: demonstrate calmness.
Next, the owner must do everything to make the four-legged friend feel safe. Remove anything that bothers the dog, turn off sources of loud noises.
If you believe that the bite was caused by unbearable pain, then immediately take the dog to a veterinary clinic.
In this case, the dog needs to start training.
If you can't do it, then use the services of a dog trainer!
We remind you: punishing a dog using physical force is never allowed.
