Representatives of this community sometimes argue about who is smarter - cats or dogs, who is loved more, or who is more - cat or dog owners.
Research shows that in Russia there are almost twice as many cat owners as dog owners, reports Lenta.ru .
Research results
Almost every fourth resident of the Russian Federation (23%) keeps cats.
Every tenth Russian who took part in the survey keeps dogs – 14%.
Another interesting fact: the largest number of cat lovers live in Moscow. Almost 45% of Muscovites admitted that they have a cat in their home.
The residents of Yekaterinburg love dogs the most – about one in ten.
A total of 1,272 respondents took part in the survey.
The age of the survey participants ranged from 18 to 55 years and older.
The survey was conducted in 16 cities of Russia, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Voronezh, Volgograd and other cities.
