The consequences that a person who wants to take a bottomless animal from the street may face can be compared to a lottery.

It is a noble act, associated with problems, illnesses and care peculiarities. This is what people who have taken in a cat from the street should take care of.

Health

1. It should be remembered that the animal may be a carrier of worms, ear and subcutaneous mites, fleas, which in themselves are carriers of infections.

2. Another unpleasant surprise is oral diseases.

3. To top off all this disgrace, there is the prospect of rabies, deprivation and other ailments.

Therefore, it is better not to delay a visit to the veterinarian.

Habits

An important point: think about whether your pet will get used to the litter box and how it will get along with other inhabitants of the home.

If it's a kitten, there shouldn't be any problems. An adult cat will have to be castrated or sterilized. But in the case of cats, who probably led a wandering lifestyle when they were free, there may be complications: after castration, they begin to mark their territory.

To avoid unpleasant consequences, once the animal is at home, do not let it out beyond one room until it gets used to it.

Feeding

It is not difficult to imagine what homeless animals eat. Experts do not recommend switching adult animals exclusively to dry food. It will be harmful for them.

Walking

Residents of apartment buildings should not let their pets go for a walk without supervision. Residents of private houses have it easier in this regard.

But if a decision is made not to release the pet into the wild, it will be necessary to diversify its leisure time.
