Many people learn about the rules of communication with cats only after several years, after a pet has settled in the house. But they should not be violated.
This obligation is explained quite simply. Compliance with these unspoken norms will make the relationship between the pet and the owner comfortable and harmonious.
There are only three important rules.
Behind the independent feline character hides a rather timid creature that is afraid of loud sounds, sudden movements, strangers and other simple things, like a vacuum cleaner.
It is advisable to accustom the cat to the fact that there may be strangers in the house who do not even intend to encroach on its personal space and territory.
If the owner does not define it, the cat will find a place for itself. It will choose the place that will correspond to the basic parameters of cat safety. This can be an ordinary box, or a shelf with woolen things.
There are basic gestures that a pet uses to show that it is irritated and unhappy. These are pressed ears, a twitching tail, and hair standing on end. Most likely, the cat is scared of something or maybe even something hurts. It is not at all necessary to pick up the animal in your arms at such moments, but you should try to calm it down.
In such conditions, the pet will be imbued with respect for the owner and may stop misbehaving.
