You may indeed think that relieving stress in five minutes is something out of science fiction.
In fact, it is quite possible to do this if you use the technique known as the “5 senses”.
Its essence lies in alternately concentrating on different sensations - as a result, you will be able to “let go” of the situation that led to the emergence of stress.
Let's get to the point. First of all, mentally mark and name 5 things that you see. It could be a table, a laptop, a tree, etc.
After that, switch to the sounds you hear - 4 are enough: for example, a dog barking, a refrigerator humming, a doorbell ringing, etc.
Next in line are 3 bodily sensations. This point, as a rule, causes the most difficulties, but each time it will be easier and easier for you: the seat of the chair is soft to the touch, the palm itches, the belt presses, etc.
Now find 2 smells in your surroundings: for example, an air freshener might smell like vanilla, and an open window might smell like linden blossom.
The last thing is taste: there should be only one. It is not necessary to drag something into your mouth - you can run your tongue forcefully along your gums to feel the taste of the food you recently ate.
