Friendship is an important part of our life.
But sometimes there comes a time when a relationship with a friend does more harm than good.
Here are five reasons why you should think about ending a friendship, says Victoria Nagornaya .

- he constantly complains and cannot be happy for you;
- after communication you feel depressed and squeezed out like a lemon.
Friends should support and inspire each other, not drag each other down. If a friend judges you, complains, or brings nothing but negativity into your life, it can seriously affect your self-esteem and confidence.
- you are always ready to help a friend, but he never helps you in return;
- a friend calls, writes and offers to meet only when he needs something;
- you feel like you give more than you get in return.
If you are constantly giving and not receiving anything, it can be emotionally draining. Eventually, you will simply exhaust the resources that you could spend on yourself, your family, your work, and achieving your goals.
Trust is the foundation of any relationship. Without it, friendship loses its meaning and becomes a source of tension and stress.
- a friend constantly demands your attention and gets offended if you say that you are busy or want to relax;
- he comes to your home without warning or invitation;
- you often feel guilty, you constantly have to defend your right to privacy.
Such relationships contradict the concept of friendship. Where there should be calm, relaxation, comfort, there is excessive tension.
- a friend constantly manipulates, imposes his beliefs on you, ignoring yours;
- he pushes you to do things that contradict your moral principles or are harmful to your health;
- you feel like you don't understand each other anymore.
If your values are very different, it can lead to constant conflicts and misunderstandings. As a result, it will be difficult for you to grow and develop in accordance with your views and goals.
Each of these reasons may be a signal to think about ending the friendship.
It's not an easy step, but sometimes it's what you need to do for your well-being. Remember, you deserve friendships that bring joy, support, and mutual respect.
