At the same time, there is another category of tools for which all of the above is not enough. Responsible summer residents take them with them to the city when they close their summer cottages for the winter to protect them from frost and temperature fluctuations.
1. Grass cutting machines that have been left out of service for a long time and have been placed in high humidity conditions will not serve you for long. At the very least, take the batteries with you, as frosty and damp weather is a sure death for them.
2. Motor blocks and cultivators can remain in the country shed, but only in one that is insulated and equipped with ventilation. But, as in the first case, it is worth removing and taking with you the batteries.
3. The body of the garden vacuum cleaner is mainly made of durable plastic. When the outside temperature drops to negative values, this material becomes brittle.
A suitable place for winter storage of leaf blowers is a warm place, such as a heated city garage.
4. If you use a garden shredder, you should be aware that sudden temperature changes can cause condensation to form inside it. This causes the metal structures to rust and prevent them from working.
5. According to the recommendations given by the manufacturers of well pumps and pumping stations, they should be stored in dry rooms at positive temperatures.
