What needs to be done before the end of the month?
Plant residues
If you still have late varieties of vegetable crops, you need to harvest as soon as possible. Also remove all plant residues, cleaning the garden.
Digging
Some people ignore this procedure for some reason, although its benefits are enormous. You need to work a 25-centimeter layer. This will remove the root system of weeds, rid you of pests wintering in the soil, and enrich the soil with oxygen.
Processing
It is important to remember that many pathogens could have accumulated in the soil during the summer cottage season. Pests should not be forgotten either.
High-quality soil cultivation will save you from these problems.
Soil enrichment
Even if you add only the simplest and most accessible components (ash, humus or compost), the soil will become much better quality.
If you add mineral fertilizers to this, the nutrient deficiency will be completely restored.
