If you are wondering what kind of composition to use for whitewashing the trees growing in your garden, you can take the easiest route and buy a special product for trees in stores or garden centers.

As the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained, whitewash can be sold in a ready-to-use liquid form or as a dry mixture - it must be diluted with water according to the instructions on the package.

Some summer residents use water-based or water-dispersion white paint for these purposes.

And especially advanced gardeners prefer to prepare the protective mixture themselves. If you want to join their camp, use any of the recipes below.

1. In the first case, to prepare the whitewash you will need 2 liters of hot water, in which you should dissolve 400 g of copper sulfate.

In addition, the product contains 100 g of casein glue, 2 kg of slaked lime and 8 liters of cold water.

The whitewash will be ready after you mix all the ingredients until they are completely dissolved in water.

2. For the second recipe, you should take 3 kg of slaked lime or chalk, 100 g of casein glue and 500 g of copper sulfate, which must be dissolved in 10 liters of water.

Stir the mixture until all components are completely dissolved. Then let it sit for two to three hours.
