After harvesting in the greenhouse, it’s time to think about how to tidy up the soil.

Even if the plants were not particularly sick, the soil may contain various pathogens.

Therefore, experienced gardeners carry out a soil disinfection procedure at the end of each season.

How to do it right

There is a fairly simple, effective and safe method for carrying out the procedure for disinfecting the soil. You need to buy any proven biological preparation and use it as recommended by the manufacturer. This method is relevant if the crops were not sick.

If there were diseases, then take copper sulfate or Bordeaux mixture. Chlorinated lime also has an effect. In this case, it is also worth following the recommendations on the package.

What to do after processing

After you have disinfected the soil, you need to restore it. You can use biological preparations again. But they are not the only ones that can be used.

Part of the soil can be safely mixed with peat. Compost will also restore the soil well.

You can also use humus.
