Pale seedlings should alert the gardener, especially if, despite all his efforts, they do not become the same - bright green.

Before rushing to save your garden, you need to understand the reasons. And it would be even better to think about favorable growth conditions before sowing.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told how to save pale seedlings.

Why do seedlings turn pale?

Most likely, one of the conditions was violated, or maybe several:
lack of light or nutrients,
failure to comply with the watering regime or temperature conditions.

How to save seedlings

1. Leaves will start to turn pale even on southern and eastern windows in cloudy weather. Artificial lighting will help.

2. Nutrient deficiencies may occur if seedlings were planted in soil dug up in the fall in a vegetable garden or orchard. It is not a fact that it contains all the substances necessary for plant growth and development.

3. The watering regime can be disrupted if you overwater the seedlings or dry out the soil. High humidity weakens the root system, and drought causes slower growth.

4. Plants are more afraid of hypothermia at this stage, but overheating will not do any good either.

Therefore, it is necessary to control the air temperature in the room and the soil temperature if the seedlings are on the windowsill.

It is possible that several conditions were violated.
