When growing currants, a problem with aphids often arises. There are several effective ways to combat it.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", a scientist agronomist and landscape designer, told how to process currants.

Soap and water solution

To prepare it, take 5 liters of water and add 100 grams of soap. Then shake the mixture until foam appears and spray the plant.

The soap-water solution is easily washed away by rain, so plants should not be sprayed in cloudy weather.

Infusions

You can also use natural decoctions and infusions. One of the most popular remedies is a decoction based on garlic.

To prepare, you need to take a few cloves of garlic, chop them and pour hot water over them.

The mixture needs to be infused, and then the plants should be sprayed with the resulting liquid. In addition to garlic, you can use chamomile, nettle, horsetail or other natural ingredients.

Chemicals

If you cannot achieve the desired result using the above methods, you can try using chemical products. But remember that such products should be used very carefully and only when necessary.

Some chemical products can be dangerous to animals and people and can harm the environment.

Controlling aphids is a process that requires regular effort. Inspect your plants periodically and remember to address problems promptly.

Find out which of the above methods works best for your garden and enjoy a delicious currant harvest.
