Summer residents have long been told that pepper seedlings do not like picking, but adherents of this technique cannot be stopped.
In fact, growing pepper seedlings can be much easier.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told how to grow pepper seedlings without picking.
1. First, you need to choose the right pepper variety. In addition, these varieties have a relatively short development period.
2. Don't forget about the growing conditions of seedlings. Some varieties are designed for cold climates, while others prefer warmth and even tolerate drought.
3. Remember the peculiarities of growing such crops. The difference is in the timing and technology of sowing, as well as in fertilizing.
1. To grow peppers without picking, start sowing 45-50 days before transplanting the seedlings into the soil.
Remember that pepper seedlings need a lot of space to develop their root system, so the container should be spacious and individual.
2. Before the emergence of seedlings, the containers are kept at 22-25 degrees Celsius, and after the emergence of seedlings, after 1-2 weeks, the temperature is reduced to 18-20 degrees.
3. Fertilizing begins after 2-3 leaves appear.
A solution of succinic acid (2-4 g per 10 l of water) is used for watering at the root.
You can use mineral fertilizers with a high content of phosphorus, as well as nitrogen and potassium.
After 10 days, carry out general strengthening feeding with a balanced fertilizer by watering strictly under the root.
You can transplant seedlings that have grown to 12-20 cm. The main thing is that the stem at the bottom is not thinner than 4-5 mm.
There should be 5-7 true leaves on the stem.
Earlier we talked about what kind of water to use to water seedlings.
