With the onset of cold weather, the leaves of indoor plants often begin to dry out.
It is believed that the main reason for this problem is low air humidity. However, this problem is easy to solve and the plants can recover.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, explained why the leaves of indoor plants dry out and what to do about it.
The main reason is dry air coming from heating appliances.
On the other hand, cold air coming from the window glass and even a draft can ruin the life of plants.
The last problem can be solved by insulating the windows or moving the flowers to a secluded place.
Air humidity can be brought back to normal.
But first of all, plants need to be grouped so that, for example, cacti do not end up among those who love humid air.
Then the flowers are placed close to each other on the windowsill. This way you can create a special microclimate and normalize the humidity.
Periodically, you need to spray or place open containers of water nearby.
If the air humidity is normal, then the reason should be sought in the violation of the watering regime. There may be too much water or not enough.
Some crops may not have enough light or, on the contrary, may be hindered by too much bright light.
It is also important to remember that not all indoor plants can overwinter in warm rooms. Perhaps you need to move the flowers to the balcony or another cool place.
Another reason for the leaves to wither may be untimely feeding or incorrect dosage.
