It doesn’t matter whether you picked cabbage from your own plot or bought it at a good price – now the task is to preserve supplies until the next harvest.
The advice of the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh will help with this.
Let us remind you: only healthy heads of cabbage are allowed to be stored.
If necessary, cut off their top leaves and wipe them with a towel - this will help you get rid of any possible drips and dirt.
After such preparation, each fork should be wrapped in cling film. This should be done thoroughly - you will need about 3-4 layers.
In this form, the cabbage is provided with natural moisture, which will help the vegetable to lie without problems until spring.
It is worth storing cabbage in film in a cold cellar, attic or balcony - the main thing is that the latter is glazed and frost cannot reach your supplies.
Another important point: the cabbage must be laid out in one (!) layer.
