August-September is not only the time for harvesting, but also the time when mid-season and late-season cabbage actively grows.

For this reason, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh reminds that the fertilizer applied now will directly affect the quality of vegetables.

Experienced gardeners advise using dolomite flour for this purpose.

According to them, as a result of using “dolomite”, cabbage stops getting sick, there are noticeably fewer slugs on it, and the heads of cabbage grow larger.

In addition, among the advantages of dolomite flour one can name such qualities as its naturalness and the ability to deoxidize the soil.

Moreover, you can enhance the effect of this product by simply adding boric acid to it.

In this case, stick to the following proportions: 6-8 g of boric acid is needed per 1 kg of powder, after which the mixture must be thoroughly mixed and spread under the plants (each head of cabbage must be provided with 5-6 tablespoons).

Don't forget to loosen the soil on the cabbage beds after the procedure, thus getting the powder closer to the roots of the plants. To make it easier to apply the fertilizer, you can remove the lower leaves beforehand.
