Why do this?
First of all, it is important to note that for a number of crops, pine cones can be an ideal option for a mulch layer. Its role will be to retain water for as long as possible.
As a rule, such mulch is a luxurious option for fruit trees and berry bushes.
But this is not the only reason to take a walk through a pine forest.
Using simple cones, you can protect your garden from snails and slugs. You will need to lay out cones in layers around the perimeter of your plot, sealing them into the soil.
5-7 centimeters will be enough. Thanks to this, pests simply won’t be able to get to your dacha.
