How often should eggplants be watered when grown in a greenhouse: a rule to get a rich harvest

First of all, the frequency of watering depends on climatic conditions and the material of the greenhouse.

A polycarbonate greenhouse is usually much hotter than a film greenhouse.

Also, there is often no mulch in such greenhouses.

This means that in this case the plants will have to be watered frequently.

It is important to remember that eggplants are a moisture-loving crop, which means that ignoring the procedure and carrying it out rarely will not work.

But you shouldn’t overwater the plants, otherwise the roots will rot from the accumulated moisture.

Experienced gardeners note that it is enough to water the crop once every 2-5 days. After moistening, the soil should be loosened a little.

If mulch protects the beds from overheating, then watering can be done less frequently.

Eggplants should be watered only with warm and settled water. Cold water will only harm the bushes.

As for the water itself, it is better to choose rainwater rather than tap water.
