Turnips will grow large and juicy if you water the bed correctly in the summer.
So, you need to use not only plain water. Sometimes it is worth adding certain components to the liquid.
First addition
The first remedy that accelerates the formation of bulbs is an ash solution.
There shouldn't be any difficulties with its preparation: just pour a glass of unburned wood residue into 10 liters of clean liquid.
Second addition
The chances of getting a high-quality onion harvest also increase when using a solution of potassium permanganate.
As in the first case, this remedy is made quite simply: you need to dissolve several dark purple crystals in a bucket of water.
How to use the products correctly
Simultaneous use of two liquids is not encouraged. However, their alternation is the right approach.
Such watering should be done a couple of times a month.
Alternating use of ash and potassium permanganate in the onion bed during the summer period guarantees the supply of nutrients to the soil, as well as protection of the plant from pests and dangerous diseases.
