You shouldn't even think about getting a good harvest of cucumbers without watering the beds with the crop planted in them.

The question of how cucumbers growing in open ground should be watered was answered by an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .

According to the specialist, before cucumbers enter the flowering phase, it is enough to moisten the soil twice a week.

In this case, about 4-5 liters of water should be used per square meter.

Be sure to take precipitation into account - after prolonged rain, one watering can be skipped.

During the growth of cucumbers, it is necessary to visit the beds with a watering can once every five days. The volume of water remains the same.

But when the ovaries appear and until the end of the active harvest, the frequency of watering will have to be increased to three times a week. In this case, one "square" will require 8-12 liters of water.

From mid-August, the frequency and volume of watering are reduced to once every 10 days using 7-8 liters of water. These figures should be followed until the end of the season.
