The harvest will be enough for jam and compote.
Not everyone likes gooseberries because of the significant sourness that is present in each berry.
If you make jam from such fruits, you will have to use more sugar, otherwise the treat will be sour.
In order for the gooseberry to please with a harvest of sweet berries, you need to water the bushes with one fertilizer. This should be done at the moment when small leaves appear on the bushes.
In 10 liters of water, dissolve 1 tablespoon of nitrophoska and 2 tablespoons of potassium humate. The liquid must be mixed well so that all components dissolve.
Adult bushes are watered at the root - 3 buckets per plant. Young gooseberries that do not yet bear fruit do not need to be fed with this product.
Usually such fertilizer is applied once per season, but it is acceptable to use it 2-3 times with a frequency of 10-14 days. But for better efficiency, the first feeding should be done at the stage of foliage formation.
