Manure and compost are the main organic fertilizers, without which it is difficult to imagine growing vegetables, fruits, and berries.
But not all summer residents have the opportunity to make supplies, so they have to look for other options.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what can replace manure and compost.
Grass and its infusion have similar properties. Rotted hay is also useful for plants.
To prepare the infusion, the herb must be crushed, filled with water, covered with a lid and kept in the sun for about 10 days. Before use, the product must be diluted with water (1:10) and applied under the root.
The mown grass can be raked into a pile and left to rot. When the process is complete, it can be placed on the bed as compost. But it is important to use only rotted grass that has gone through the decomposition process.
