As you know, there are an incredible number of types of hydrangea, but not every one of them can boast of good survival rate when it comes to regions with frosty winters.

However, according to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , there is a variety in this family that is extremely resistant - we will talk about it further.

This variety is called "Limelight" and is a product of Dutch selection.

Limelight belongs to the panicle hydrangeas and has a massive crown that can reach up to 2 m in height.

The crown of the plant is lush and has a rounded shape.

The flowers are white and green, with a distinct lime color in places, and towards the end of flowering, pink notes can be seen at the tips of the inflorescences.

The play of shades begins in July and continues until September (inclusive). Due to this fact, the variety can be confidently classified as intensely decorative.

If you are thinking about growing the Limelight hydrangea on your plot, take a responsible approach to choosing a place for planting it - it does not matter whether in the shade or in the sun, the soil here should be breathable, retain moisture and have a low or high acidity level.
