One of the most useful natural fertilizers is eggshell. It is considered harmless by default, and gardeners use it everywhere without a shadow of embarrassment.
But this is not entirely correct, because there are cultures that do not like this additive very much. Here is how to use it correctly.
1. Suitable for cauliflower. When planting seedlings, add a handful of shells to the hole. Then make a protective barrier of crumbs around the plant to protect against pests.
2. Tomatoes need calcium, without which the fruits rot. Seedlings are also planted together with this additive.
3. Plum fruiting also depends on the level of calcium in the soil, so crushed shells are added for fertilizing once every couple of years.
4. Sprinkle eggshells between potato rows. They are also added when planting against mole crickets.
But peas and cucumbers, strawberries and zucchini are not fed in this way.
It is believed that liquid additives are the easiest for plants to absorb. To prepare such a supplement, the shell must be dried, ground into powder and then filled with water in a glass container.
Cover the solution and leave to infuse for 2 weeks in a dark place.
The concentrate is used as directed, diluted with water in a ratio of 1:3.
