Even on six hundred square meters the number of crops grown can be increased by 2-3 times.
Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh gave advice on how to more effectively organize the space on the site.
Here are some recommendations.
1. In your garden, you can use vertical space, such as walls or fences, to grow vegetables and fruits. You can use pots or boxes to grow plants.
2. You can use containers to grow plants indoors, such as on a balcony, veranda, or in a garden. Containers come in different sizes and shapes, allowing you to use less land to grow more plants.
3. Combine vegetables. Try growing several types of vegetables in one place to use the space more efficiently.
4. Plant along the edge of your garden. Use borders and hedges to create boundaries between different types of plants.
5. If you have plants that are not growing or bearing fruit, you can remove them and use the freed up space for other crops. Areas that are constantly filled with weeds (near a fence, greenhouse, etc.) can also be adapted for growing vegetables or berries.
