Strawberries will no longer lie on the ground and rot: this “garbage” will serve as support for the bush.

Unripe strawberries can rot and mold due to the fruit being lightly touched or lying completely on the ground.

Under their own weight, the berries fall to the ground, and the shoots of the bush cannot support them.

In this form, the fruits can not only rot, but also become easy prey for pests. It is even easier for them to get to the fragrant berries lying on the ground.

Support for bush and berries

Fixing the situation is easier than it seems. You will need a plastic 5-liter bottle. Cut off the bottom part, choosing the optimal height. Cut out the bottom and make a vertical cut to make it easier to fix the bush.

The plant is carefully wrapped in a plastic ring. After this, the shoots and berries will lie on the sides without touching the ground.

There are also store-bought stands that perform a similar function. Another popular trick is to use a rubber band to tie up the bush. This allows you to raise the shoots and berries above the ground.
