What could go wrong? One of the common mistakes is keeping the seedlings too long.
If you are growing cucumber seedlings in cups, you should not put off planting them in the ground until the last minute.
If the seedlings are kept in cups for more than 35 days, they begin to wither, since such a limited area is not able to satisfy the nutritional needs of cucumbers.
In addition, if you do not want the cucumbers to get sick and, accordingly, bear less fruit, make sure that the plantings are not too dense.
Finally, an equally popular mistake is violating crop rotation rules – you shouldn’t plant cucumber beds in the same place year after year, or plant them where pumpkins or squash grew.
