The underground part of horseradish, as is known, has found its purpose in cooking: the roots are used to prepare a hot sauce that goes especially well with meat.
But not every summer resident knows what to do with the leaves.
However, there are many ways to use them, four of which we will talk about today.
1. Horseradish leaves are useful when you need to disinfect the soil or get rid of insect pests.
To do this, pour boiling water over the leaves and leave to infuse for 1-2 days, after which the infusion is filtered and used for spraying the leaves or pouring it onto the soil.
2. In addition, the above-ground part of the plant is suitable for adding to the green fermentation. Do not forget to chop the leaves before throwing them to the other ingredients.
3. Leaves can also be embedded in the soil, for example, under bushes or during digging in the autumn.
4. Some gardeners use whole leaf blades as mulching material.
