Growing cabbage in your own garden will not surprise anyone - this process is not difficult.

However, in order for the harvest to consist of large heads of cabbage, you will have to resort to trickery.

The secret to a good harvest is to add a small amount of humus to the hole when planting the seedlings.

But that’s not all – make sure to add a tablespoon of ground eggshells and a teaspoon of superphosphate here.

In addition, experienced gardeners add mustard powder, of which one teaspoon is also needed.

They believe that such an additive can protect the roots of cabbage seedlings from attacks by insect pests.

When all the ingredients are in place, mix them well and pour hot water over them. It is allowed to use a weak solution of potassium permanganate.

You can plant the seedlings after the hole has cooled. After that, you need to water the cabbage daily for 4 days. Then water according to the scheme - 1 time every 3 days.

After 14 days, it is worth preparing a solution for watering from 10 liters of water and a tablespoon of any nitrogen-containing fertilizer. One plant will need 300 ml of such a solution.

Wait another 15 days and you can feed the cabbage with superphosphate. For this purpose, dissolve 2 tablespoons of the preparation in 10 liters of water and pour a liter under each plant.

Next, summer residents advise watering the cabbage with a mullein solution every 2 weeks, and in order to protect the plantings from caterpillars, they should be sprayed with an infusion based on onion peels.
