There are not many reasons why seedlings of heat-loving crops, and peppers in particular, stop growing and developing.

These problems would not have arisen if the gardener had followed the rules of agricultural technology from the moment of sowing the seeds. Let's figure out whether it is possible to correct the mistakes.

Reason one: temperature

Pepper seedlings will not grow if the temperature is below 23-25 degrees Celsius. It is also important to remove the seedlings for 3-5 days in a cooler room with a temperature of at least 18 degrees after they appear.

Reason two: light

Problems will also arise if the seedlings do not have enough light, but if the seedlings are in direct sunlight, you will have to come up with something (a fence made of a sheet of paper will do for protection).

Reason three: moisture

High humidity is the cause of diseases, fungus, rot, mold. If peppers are constantly flooded with water, the seedlings will stop growing.

Reason four: picking

Untimely picking can damage the root system. It is carried out when 1-2 true leaves appear. If you delay, that is, wait until more than 4 leaves appear, then the seedlings may become cramped in the container, and growth will again stop.

Reason five: soil

It is not recommended to add fertilizer to peppers earlier than two weeks after picking. Even in this case, you need to look at the condition of the plants, and not add additives just because it is necessary. Small and pale leaves, as well as thin stems, can be a sign of a lack of nutrients. Gardeners remind that seedlings tolerate a lack of fertilizers better than an excess.
