Zucchini does not always live up to the expectations of gardeners who grow them, who believe that this crop is unpretentious and grows under any conditions.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh reminds us that water plays an almost primary role in the good growth and development of zucchini.
Let's look at the basic rules for watering beds with zucchini, which are followed by experienced plant growers.
First, do not water vegetables with cold water - instead, use a liquid whose temperature is close to the air temperature.
Secondly, keep an eye on the amount of watering.
Too much water poured onto the beds leads to the squash not setting fruit. Underwatering, in turn, is fraught with the formation of a large number of empty flowers.
Thirdly, when watering, try to pour water not under the stem, but a little around it, to prevent the soil from being washed away and the roots from opening up.
Finally, fourthly: water the area in the evening, after the hot day has come to an end, to protect plants from burns that occur due to drops accidentally falling on the leaves.
