To ensure that seedlings emerge quickly and evenly when sowing seeds for seedlings, it is important to take into account some rules.
The main thing that will ensure success is the correct temperature during germination.
1. When planning to start sprouting seeds, you first need to soak them in water for a short time (no more than 10 hours).
2. Next, the swollen seeds are wrapped in a wet cloth or napkin and wrapped in a plastic bag.
• Battery. It is not forbidden to place a bundle of seeds in room conditions, but many crops in the germination phase like higher temperatures (from 25 to 30 degrees). It is not difficult to achieve such a microclimate, it is enough to lay out packages with seed material on bowls installed on batteries near the windowsill. In private houses, a warm brick oven is also suitable for these purposes.
• Heating pad. Any crops are very responsive to warming the soil. Therefore, a bowl with seeds that are sown dry directly into the substrate is best placed on a rubber medical heating pad, half filled with warm water. You need to put the heating pad in a small box, put the pot with seeds on top and wrap everything in several towels. After 2 days, change the water for new (it should be hot: +55-60 degrees).
Using these methods, tomato seeds usually germinate on the 4th day, and peppers and eggplants - in about a week.
