Not all fertilizers are equally useful for different crops. Some are just the opposite, especially when it comes to root crops.
Everyone knows that chicken manure is actively used to prepare solutions and infusions, but radishes are one of those cases where it is better not to go near the garden bed with chicken manure.
We will tell you what composition should not be used to fertilize radishes if your health is important.
Natural fertilizers are undoubtedly good. They do not nitrate the soil, do not spoil the harvest and do not harm the environment if used in moderation.
As for chicken manure, it is not recommended for use as a fertilizer for radishes, to put it mildly.
Along with nutrients, pathogenic bacteria will enter the soil, which will inevitably end up on the root crop.
Eating such radishes, even after thorough washing, cannot be done without health consequences.
Radish is fed in a standard way. At an early stage and in poor soil, nitrogen is needed (only in the first half of the growing season).
During the process of ovary formation, potassium is needed - you can add an ash infusion (150 g per 10 l of water), but only if the soil is not alkaline.
