Dates are a favorite delicacy of many, so why not try growing this plant at home?
According to the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , you are unlikely to see fruits on a date grown from a seed, but getting a beautiful and lush date palm will not be difficult.
To begin with, of course, you need to get a bone, which you need to place in water.
The chances of success will be higher if you use not one, but several bones at once.
Important: the surface of the bone must be thoroughly cleaned of pulp, because even a small piece can lead to rotting.
Our seed material will have to spend about an hour in this improvised “bath”.
After this, wrap the bone in a paper napkin and place it in a plastic container with a tightly sealed lid.
In such conditions, the date palm will need only three days to sprout, after which it will only need to be transplanted into the soil and provided with proper watering.
