Beginners and experienced gardeners, growing violets, face a problem. The plant does not bloom and quickly dies.
It is known that violets are very demanding when it comes to watering. When the soil is not moistened evenly, the plants suffer.
Here a bowl of vermiculite comes to the rescue. The wet mineral, firstly, humidifies the air a little.
Secondly, vermiculite shows that it is time to water the flowers. Sometimes, due to the dense leaves, it is not clear whether the plant needs water or needs to wait a little longer.
Vermiculite will not allow you to miscalculate. But the container in which the mineral is located should be approximately the same size as the violet pot.
In this case, everything is simple: the vermiculite in the bowls has dried out, the water has evaporated – which means the soil in the pot has dried out. Violets are watered only through the tray. At the same time, the dishes with vermiculite are filled with water.
